NA 062 Materials Testing Standards Committee

The materials testing standards committee within DIN is responsible for the development of standards for test methods and terminology as well as for specific subject matters also for basic standards and product standards for a large number of materials, among other things for - metals - building materials - non-metallic inorganic materials (e.g. materials for semiconductor technology, ceramics, carbon, graphite, advanced technical ceramics, natural stone and glass) - organic materials (e.g. paper, board, elastomers, adhesives, textiles, leather, petroleum, gases and solid fuels) - nuclear technology - test methods independent from the kind of material (e.g. non-destructive testing) and - specialities (e.g. explosives, fire works, articles and nanotechnologies). The materials testing standards committee coordinates the German participation in European (CEN) and International (ISO) Standardization and holds the secretariats of European and International standards committees in selected fields.
